Pretest probability of coronary artery disease as a factor for optimizing invasive diagnostics in routine clinical practice

چکیده
According to the European Society of Cardiology guidelines, patients with chest pain requires calculation pretest probability (PTP) coronary artery disease (CAD), followed by identification diagnostic tactics. Aim. To analyze registry stable CAD in order assess frequency PTP calculation, as well validity tactics choice depending on its level. Material and methods . The data for periods from 2012 2014 2017 2019 were analyzed. We assessed number patients, proportion men, distribution angina functional class. In addition, strategy selected value was differences (p) pairwise comparisons, Student’s t-test used. Differences considered significant at p<0,05. Statistical analysis performed using Microsoft Office Excel 2010 (Microsoft, USA) STATISTICA 6.0 (StatSoft Inc., USA). Results. 2017-2019, detected cases men increased. both time periods, an insufficient level calculating remains. intermediate PTP, 15-85% priority are invasive interventions, high percentage does not reach proper level, which correspond modern guidelines management leads misappropriation funds healthcare resources. Conclusion. medical records, can be determined less than half patients. non-invasive studies carried out full, since angiography is preferred. a diagnostics insufficient.

Supportive Data for Galectin-3 as a Prognostic Factor in Coronary Artery Disease
Introduction: Galectin-3 is known as a biomarker in patients with heart failure. This protein participates in different mechanisms involved in atherosclerosis including inflammation and plaque formation. This study was conducted to investigate whether this factor could be a predictive biomarker for the severity of atherosclerosis. Materials and Methods: The study group consisted of 80 patients ...
متن کاملReliable Diagnostics for Coronary Artery Disease
In the past decades Machine Learning tools have been successfully used in several medical diagnostic problems. While they often significantly outperform expert physicians (in terms of diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity), they are mostly not being used in practice. One reason for this is that it is difficult to obtain an unbiased estimation of diagnosis’ reliability. We discuss ho...
متن کامل64-slice computed tomography coronary angiography in patients with high, intermediate, or low pretest probability of significant coronary artery disease.
OBJECTIVES We assessed the usefulness of 64-slice computed tomography coronary angiography (CTCA) to detect or rule out coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with various estimated pretest probabilities of CAD. BACKGROUND The pretest probability of the presence of CAD may impact the diagnostic performance of CTCA. METHODS Sixty-four-slice CTCA (Sensation 64, Siemens, Forchheim, Germany)...
